The sport Britain didn’t know it needed

Pickleball socials — all the rally, none of the admin

Pickleball is quietly taking over British leisure centres, and the only hard bit left is finding five other people who actually turn up. LMTW is the social connection club now founding in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and Brighton — we match six players, sort the court and host the session. Founding members play free.

Six new friends mid-rally at a social pickleball session, all smiles

Ten minutes to learn, a lifetime of "one more game"

If you’ve played so much as a game of badminton at a barbecue, you can play pickleball by the end of the first rally. What’s harder is the organising: the WhatsApp thread, the dropped racquets, the "sorry, can’t make Thursday" that kills the whole evening.

LMTW does the organising. You tell us your city and when you’re free; we match six players by generation and pace — a human reviews every new group — and a hosted session appears in your week. Venues are member-nominated at launch, so courts end up where members actually live.

How it works

  • Join free as a founding member — first pack on us, launch price locked for life
  • We match six players — your generation, your pace, beginners genuinely welcome
  • Vote on the venue — the court is revealed 24 hours before, which is half the fun
  • Play — social doubles, easy rotation, a Captain keeping it friendly
  • Pub or coffee after — the rally is the excuse; this bit is the point

Already four strong?

Circles let your regular crew keep private, invite-only sessions with the same one-tap booking — and when you’re two short, open it to the club and we’ll fill the gaps with people who actually show. Friends first; romance welcome, never required.

Common questions

Is LMTW running in the UK yet?

We’re founding now in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol and Brighton — founding members form the first crews and sessions open as each crew fills. The club’s live in Australia, so the format’s proven.

What does it cost?

Founding members play free and lock the launch price for life. After that a get-together is 12 credits — about £5 — plus any court hire.

Do I need to be any good?

No. Sessions are social, not graded — if you can hold a rally you’re comfortably mid-pack.

What about the weather?

Courts are booked indoors where the season demands it. This is Britain; we plan accordingly.

First crews are forming now

Founding members play free — and the first courts go to the first cities to fill.
