Honest comparisons

The alternatives, honestly compared

If you organise get-togethers you already know the two defaults: Meetup, which charges you monthly for the privilege, and Facebook events, which is free and gives you a comment thread. LMTW was built by people who ran events on both. Here is the honest comparison — including where they still win.

Both comparisons are written straight: their strengths, our differences, and the maths. If you host on Meetup, start with the fee and no-show comparison. If your events live in a Facebook group, start with the tooling gap.

Not organising — just looking?

If you landed here as a guest rather than a host: LMTW is a members’ club of hosted get-togethers — mystery dinners, double dates, coffee catch-ups, trivia and more — matched by a human and hosted so you never work a room. See what’s on or read how it works.
