Is it safe? The honest answer.
Six strangers at a table sounds either wonderful or alarming, depending on your wiring. Here is everything the club does to make it the first one — and the one small part that’s yours.

Hosted, never cold-contact
Every LMTW get-together has a host. Not a bouncer, not a chaperone — a club Captain whose whole job is that six people feel looked after. They arrive early, they know your name, and they set the tone from the first hello.
For club-run nights the Captain is picked from the crew itself — a member with a clean record, briefed by the club. Either way, you never walk into a room of strangers alone. Somebody is expecting you.
First names only
You are a first name and a few interests at the table — never a surname, never a searchable profile. Your surname, email and mobile live apart from your public profile and are revealed only one way: you and one other person both say you’d happily meet again. One-sided interest goes nowhere, silently.
There are no public photos to swipe through and no follower counts. People meet you in a room, the way it worked for a hundred thousand years.
Public places, always
Every get-together happens at a real venue from the club’s directory — restaurants, wine bars, cafés, courts and halls that host groups for a living. Never a private house, never a vague “meet near the station”.
Booked members vote on the shortlist, and the exact venue is revealed to the crew 24 hours before — so you always know where you’ll be, and so does anyone you choose to tell.
A human checks every group
Matching is done by the club’s matcher — city, generation, interests, agenda — but no invite goes out until a real person has reviewed the group. Reports land in the same human queue: every one is read, and members who make others uncomfortable simply stop being picked.
Reliability is a safety feature too: two no-shows and you’re uninvited. The crew at every table showed up — that’s the deal.
The follow-up is consent by design
After the night, the app asks who you’d happily see again. Answers stay secret unless it’s mutual — so nobody ever has to decline anyone to their face, and nobody receives attention they didn’t invite. Chat unlocks only on a mutual yes.
That’s the whole system, and it’s why people relax: the bravest thing required of you all night is showing up.
What we ask of you
Look after the table too. Tell the host if something feels off, report anything that shouldn’t have happened — the club reads every word — and remember the person across from you took the same small leap you did.
The policies underneath all of this live on the trust & safety page.
Common questions
Do you verify members?
Every account is email-confirmed, every event is hosted, and every report is read by a human. We don’t do ID checks — instead the night is designed so bad behaviour has nowhere to hide: public venues, a named host, and a crew who were expecting exactly five other people.
Can I leave early if I’m not comfortable?
Any time, no explanation owed. Tell the host on your way out if you can — they’ll make sure you’re sorted — and the report button is right there on the event page if anything made you uncomfortable.
Who sees my phone number or email?
Only you and the club. After a get-together, contact details unlock one way only: two people both say they’d happily meet again, and then it’s mutuals only. Nobody else ever sees them.
What happens when someone is reported?
A human reviews every report. Depending on what happened, the member gets a quiet word, loses hosting privileges, or is removed — and reported members are never picked as Event Captains.
