LMTW doesn't work without you. That's the whole design.
Most platforms want you to consume. We need you to convene. LMTW is a club, not a content feed — and clubs are made of members. Here's what that actually means, what you get for carrying a little of it, and why the whole thing falls over (cheerfully) without you.
The club has no performers
There's no stage here and no audience. Every table is six members, and the host is a member too — a Captain, trained free through the Academy, earning credits every night they run. The person who greets you by name on your first night was, not long ago, the nervous one at the door.
That's not a cost-saving trick; it's the product. A host who was recently a guest hosts differently — they remember exactly what the doorway felt like.
Crews are built by follow-ups, not by us
After every get-together you mark who you'd see again — secret unless mutual. Mutuals unlock surnames, chat and circles. The club's matching gets the raw material right; only members decide what sticks. Every standing trivia team, run club and Sunday-roast crew in the network started with two people quietly picking each other.
It means the club's map of real friendship is drawn by members, one honest follow-up at a time. We couldn't fake it if we wanted to.
Communities grow where members lean in
When a circle keeps meeting, it can become a public community — findable by every member in the city, still run by its Captains. Pickleball in Sydney, the book clubs, the sunrise swimmers: each one exists because a handful of members kept showing up until "my crew" became "the crew".
New cities work the same way. Founding members aren't early users — they're the founders. The first crews in the US, the UK and KL are being built right now by the people who'll own the bragging rights.
What you get for building it
Hosting is always free for the host, plus +12 credits every night you run, bonuses for full houses, and a Certified Captain track for the ones who catch the bug. Founding members lock the launch price for life. Communities get club-office support, and new interests get added when members ask for them.
But the honest return is simpler: a social life that exists because you helped make it — which is precisely why it lasts. Become a Captain or just come to dinner. Both count as building it.
Common questions
What does "community-powered" actually mean here?
Members host the get-togethers (trained Captains), the follow-up decides which crews form, and circles grow into public communities when members keep showing up. The club provides the machinery; the community provides the magic.
What do I get for hosting or starting a community?
Hosting is free for the host, earns +12 credits a night plus bonuses, and comes with free Academy training. Community founders get club-office support and a city full of members looking for exactly their thing.
The club is what its members make it. Come make it.
Join free as a founding member — host later if you catch the bug.
