A book club where everyone actually reads the book
No homework energy, no homework-adjacent behaviour — just six readers, one book you force on people, and a hosted table. LMTW book clubs are running now across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra. Free for founding members.

The book club that survives month two
Most book clubs die of logistics: the group chat fizzles, the venue’s never decided, someone admits they only watched the adaptation. LMTW fixes the machinery. You tell us your city and your reading taste; we match six readers by generation and shelf — lit-fic to crime to "mostly podcasts, honestly" — and a hosted night just appears.
Bring the book you press into people’s hands. A club Captain keeps the argument kind and the wine topped up, and the conversation menu covers the night nobody finished the book.
How a night runs
- Join free — city, generation, reading taste; that’s the whole profile
- We match six readers — human-reviewed, so the table argues well
- Vote on the venue — wine bars and quiet back rooms from the club directory, revealed 24 hours before
- Talk books — hosted, first names only, spoilers negotiated democratically
- Keep the crew — circles turn one good night into a standing monthly table in six Australian cities
Not just books
The same club runs 50+ activities across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra — dinners, games nights, gigs, walks. Book people tend to end up at the fine-dining tables too; nobody's ever complained.
Local flavour: coastal cities, long evenings, and a café culture that ruins you for anywhere else.
Common questions
Is there an assigned book?
No syllabus. The night’s theme comes from the crew’s shelves — bring the book you force on everyone you meet. Reading it is encouraged; bluffing is a tradition we respect.
What if I haven’t finished it?
You’ll be in excellent company. The conversation menu has a whole track for the honest.
What does it cost?
Founding members start free. After that a get-together is 12 credits — about $6 — plus whatever you order.
